I grew up in Olathe with my parents and my older sister and brother. I graduated from Olathe South High School in 2008. In high school I participated in cross country and track for three years. After high school I went to JCCC for three years and then Pittsburg State University for three years. At Pitt I made wonderful friends and memories. I graduated in 2014 with a Social Work degree. I then started to look at grad programs for Social Work. I am now at Park University chasing my dream to get my masters.
During my time chasing my dreams and pursuing my education I met James. He gave me strength and encouraged me to follow my dreams even when it was challenging. He is my best friend and I can’t wait to start a new chapter with him by my side.
The ProposalI’ve lived in Kansas City my entire life, most of which has been in Olathe, KS. I graduated high school from Olathe South. I hold two degrees, an AAS in Computer Information Systems and a BA in Management of Information Systems. I am employed by Park University as a Director of Software Development. Prior to my current position I owned and operated my own Internet service provider business. I am an avid Denver Broncos fan, no, I’ve never lived in Denver. I enjoy watching movies, especially at the theatre, and playing video games. I am civically active, volunteering for campaigns, serving in leadership positions on political action committees, and serving as a precinct committeeman.
Brittnay and I first met when I moved in down the street, though it would be some time before we really got to know each other. We started as friends, talking online and seeing the occasional movie together. Overtime we grew closer and I began to see what and amazing person she is. What first attracted me to Brittnay was her faith in God and desire to serve her community.
I feel so blessed that she is going to marry me. She means so much to me and I am so looking forward to starting a new life together.
